Crack Administrator Passwords With Ophcrack

Imagine you've learned a lot about hacking. You want to test your hacking skills, but you don't have a computer to test it on. Maybe it's a password protected account? Well with Ophcrack, it's a cracked account! Continue reading, my friends!

1. Before you start cracking, you need to burn a .iso of Ophcrack. 

To do this, I reccommend using Deep Burner to burn the .iso

Download the Ophcrack .iso here

2. Once you've burned the .iso to a disk, put it in the victim computer. Once it's inserted, reboot the computer. 

*If it doesn't run it may be because the computer doesn't have autorun enabled. Go here for a tutorial on how to enable this.

3. Be patient and wait for Ophcrack to load. This may take a minute or two. When the menu comes up, select "Ophcrack Graphic Mode".

4. Once it loads, it will start cracking passwords. This could take anywhere from 1 minute to about an hour, depending on the password's length. 

The username is on the left hand column, and the passwords will be displayed on the far right. Once you have the password, eject the disc and sign in!
