Remotely Shut Down A Windows Computer

You are sitting in your computer lab, when all of a sudden your computer shuts off. Want to cause the same scenario for someone else? Keep on reading to find out how to remotely shut down a computer!
So there are only a few steps to shut down someone's computer.

1. First, make sure that the computer you wish to remotely shut down is on the same network as you.

This works best if at a school, or in an office.

2. Open up command prompt. (Start --> Run --> type "CMD")

3. Now you need the computer name of your victim. To view the list of computer names on the network, type "net view" (without the quotes).

(This can also be done by having access to the victim's computer. Start --> Right click on "My Computer" --> Click "Properties" --> View Computer Name)

4. Find the computer name from the list and remember it.

In command prompt, type "Shutdown -i"  (without the quotes)
A new window should pop up.

5. Click "add computer name" and type the victim's computer name.

6. You can now proceed to customize your settings, such as the time interval, the reason for the shutdown, and your own personal comments. When you are finished, click "OK".

There you go! Enjoy!
